126 film

The Instamatic film (type 126) is a specially perforated small picture film cassettes for the system Kodak Instamatic. It has been developed with the goal to be error-free to handle for everyone, however, while allowing easy camera structures. Other manufacturers used alternatively the name Pak film.

The negative format of Instamaticfilms was 28 mm × 28 mm, where he was made ​​up with 12, 20 or 24 images. It gave him exclusively with amateur emulsions, originally as black and white and slide film. Standard deductions were almost 9 cm × 9 cm in size. The last 126er film on the European market was produced until 2007 by the Italian company Ferrania (trade name Solaris).

A competitor to the Instamatic Film Faced temporarily the Agfa Rapid format dar. Comparable also the Pocket film ( type 110) from the same manufacturer with similar but lower cassette, which survived the Instamatic system due to its compact dimensions.
