12th Dalai Lama

Thrinle Gyatsho ( Tib: ' las rgya mtsho phrin, Tibetan: འཕྲིན་ལས་རྒྱ་མཚོ, born January 26, 1857 in ' ol dga ' in a circle Sangri, † April 25, 1875 ) was the twelfth Dalai Lama.

Life

Thrinle Gyatsho was recognized two years after his birth as the 12th Dalai Lama. It was determined by drawing from the "Golden Urn ", but also corresponded to the wishes of the Tibetan people.

The internal politics of Lhasa was characterized in the time of immaturity of the 12th Dalai Lama of intrigue and power struggles. An expedition against the prince in the eastern Tibetan Kham Gönpo Namgyel added to a failed attempt to depose both the Dalai Lama and his regent. It was ultimately the decision of the imperial court in Beijing Thrinle Gyatsho 18- year to transfer the temporal power to the exercise but apparently he did not come, for official acts by him are not known. Rumors of his last two years of life describe him as soon as sickly, soon as mentally disturbed, and culminate in some sources that he was poisoned at the end. The circumstances surrounding his death in 1875 are thus remained a mystery until today.
