( 14088 ) Ancus is an asteroid of the inner main belt, which was discovered by the Italian amateur astronomer Vincenzo Silvano Casulli on 3 May in 1997 at the Osservatorio di Colle Verde (IAU code 596). The observatory, founded by Casulli was from 1981 to 2003 in the town of Monte Celio Guidonia in the province of Rome.

( 14088 ) Ancus was after Ancus Marcius (* 675 BC, BC † 616? ) Named the mythical fourth king of the Roman Empire. The naming of the asteroid on 24 June 2002.
