( 152 188 ) Morricone is an asteroid of the main belt, on 27 August 2005 by Italian astronomer Franco Mallia and his French counterpart Alain Maury at the automated observation station Campo Catino Austral Observatory of Campo Catino Observatory in San Pedro de Atacama in Chile's Atacama Desert was detected.

The asteroid is (* 1928), named after the Italian composer and conductor Ennio Morricone, who composed the film score of over 500 films, and especially by the soundtracks to the spaghetti westerns of Sergio Leone became famous.

The appointment was made on 1 June 2007.
