(15788) 1993 SB is a Transneptunisches object of Plutino class. Apart from Pluto, it was one of the first objects discovered this type, RO 1993 and 1993 RP were only two or discovered a day earlier. It was the first of these objects, whose orbit was calculated well enough to get a number. The discovery took place in 1993 at La Palma Observatory with the Isaac Newton Telescope.

About 1993 SB very little is known. Even the estimation of the diameter of 130 km is based only on the assumption of an albedo of 0.09.
