1905 German football championship

The third German Cup final brought a record number of participants; ten regional associations came their masters for participation. As an eleventh club, the defending champion should be added. This high number of participants and the large differences in performance prompted the DFB to perform before a quarter-final elimination round of the representatives of small and supposedly weaker association representatives.
