1921 German football championship

The fourteenth German football championship experienced winning the title by the 1st FC Nuremberg the first successful title defense. The dominance of the Nuremberg was there almost overwhelming this year. With the Hamburger SV another major club of the German football came in the finals for the first time in appearance. The club was formed on June 1, 1919 through the merger of SC Germania, Hamburg FC and FC Falke 06. The first appearance of the North German master, however, was a disappointment.

In East Germany, reviewed the events of the previous year. Again, the VfB Königsberg was unable to attend the final round, as he could claim his East German championship title after a protest.
