(1932 ) Jansky (1971 UB1; 1958 DD1, 1964 XL) is an asteroid of the main belt, which was discovered on October 26, 1971 by Luboš Kohoutek at the Hamburg Observatory (district Bergedorf ).

The asteroid belongs to Nysa group, one named after (44 ) Nysa group of asteroids (also called Hertha family, according to (135 ) Hertha). The timeless ( nichtoskulierenden ) orbital elements of ( 1932) Jansky are almost identical to those of the smaller, if we start from the absolute brightness of 15.0 compared with 13.6, asteroid ( 12638 ) 1063 T -2.

(1932 ) Jansky was named after Karl Guthe Jansky, an American physicist who first discovered in 1932, radio astronomy.
