1953 Úrvalsdeild

The Icelandic Football Championship 1953 was the 42nd season of the highest Icelandic Football League.

It took six teams participate in the competition. It was only a preliminary round was played as two groups of three, where each team met once on the other two the same group. The two group winners played in a final for the title. This could win ÍA Akranes two years after winning the first championship.
