1993 Úrvalsdeild
The Icelandic Football Championship in 1993 was the 82nd season of the highest Icelandic Football League. The League began on 23 May 1993, ended with the last games on 25 September 1993.
The title was won for the 14th time to the defending ÍA Akranes. The team had nine points ahead of second-placed FH Hafnarfjörður and already 22 points ahead of the third, Keflavík ÍF. Furthermore, the team became the first team since 1984 with the victory of the Icelandic Cup win the Double (then also won the ÍA Akranes ). The ÍA Akranes also made it with 62 gates (Ø: 3.44 goals / game ) a new league record, the old one was located at 47 meetings in the 1978 season, also held by ÍA Akranes. Moreover, the Master presented with Þórður Gudjonsson also the top scorer. At the other end of the table presented Víkingur Reykjavík, Master from 1991, with 59 goals conceded also a new (negative ) record on the old dated by Þór Akureyri from the 1977 season with 48 goals conceded.
