1957 Meistaradeildin

The Faroe Islands Football Championship 1957 was held in the Meistaradeildin said first Faroese league and overall was the 15th season.

Champion was defending KÍ Klaksvík who could thus win the title for the seventh time.

In comparison to the previous season, the strike rate deteriorated to 3.75 per game, which meant the lowest average since 1954. The highest victory achieved KÍ Klaksvík with a 6-0 at home against B36 Tórshavn. The highest-scoring game completed HB Tórshavn and VB Vágur with a 6-2.

In the Meistaradeildin each team to eight games played two games against each other. The point- best team in the season-ending stable as champions this league, a down regulation did not exist.

Course of the season

KÍ Klaksvík easily took the title. The only downfall was paid at 1:6 in the away game against TB Tvøroyri, otherwise all games were won by the 1-1 draw at VB Vágur.
