1959 African Cup of Nations
The African Cup of Nations 1959 (English: African Cup of Nations, French for Coupe d' Afrique des Nations ) was the second playout of the African continental championship in football and was held from 22 to 29 May in the VA Republic ( Egypt and Syria) instead. Organized by the African Football Association Continental Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF ) participated as the first host again in 1957, only three teams in Ethiopia, VA Republic and Sudan in part.
It was played this time in a simple League Round FFA. All three games were held the previous stadium of Al Ahly in Cairo Mokhtar El- Tetsh stage.
The team of the host was able to defend your title of 1957 and was the second time African champions in football.
