1962 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The Volleyball World Championship for Men 1962 was held from October 12 to 26 in the Soviet Union instead. The hosts won the title for the fourth time. The Games were held in Moscow, Kiev, Riga and Leningrad.
Mode
The 21 participants played in the preliminary round in a five - and four groups of four. The top two teams in each group determined in the final group the World Champion, and the results of the direct duels were incorporated into the final round. The third and fourth group played to the ranks eleven to twenty.
