The Faroe Islands Football Cup 1970 was held in the Meistaradeildin said first Faroese league and overall was the 28th season. It started on May 3, 1970 and ended on 30 August 1970.
Champion was defending KÍ Klaksvík who could thus win the title for the fifth time in a row and the 14th time overall.

In the National Cup refused KÍ Klaksvík hold the final in the stadium of HB Tórshavn, so that was asked in its place, the losing semi-finalists VB Vágur whether this would instead compete in the final. Since VB also rejected, the association decided not to award the trophy.
