1975 South American U-20 Championship

The VII Junior Football South American Championship 1975 was held until August 26, 1975 in Peru on 9 August 1975.

The encounters were wearing to determine the tournament winner of the event, also known as Juventud de América in Lima. It participated in the tournament, the national teams of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay in part.

It was played in the group mode in a group comprising all participants, as well as a subsequent final between the first and second placed Uruguayan and Chilean team, both having the same number of points after the group stage. From the event Uruguay was the winner who won the final 3-1 on penalties. The second to fourth occupied the national teams from Chile, Argentina and Peru.

Top scorers of the tournament were the Uruguayan Hebert Revetria and Brazilian Toninho with four goals scored.
