Eliseo Rivero

Eliseo Rivero, full name Eliseo Pérez Rivero, (* December 27, 1957 ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.67 meter tall defender Rivero played at least 1975 and 1977 for Danubio. Depending on the source location either 1980-1986 or 1985-1986 and again in 1988, he was then the squad Peñarols in La Liga on. Anyway, in the years 1985 and 1986 he therefore belonged to the team, the Uruguayan champion. In the season of 1987, a career at Defensor station is also listed. The Violet won that year the second Uruguayan league title of their club's history.

National

Rivero was with the Uruguayan youth team at the Junior South American Championship of 1975 South American champions. He also belonged to the squad of the Uruguayan U -20 team, which in Venezuela defended the title at the U-20 South American Championship in 1977 and finished fourth at the Junior World Cup in 1977. Also in the squad of Celeste he scored at the Pan American Games in 1975.

Rivero was also a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, for which he completed seven matches between August 25, 1983 to June 16, 1986. An international goal he did not achieve. Rivero participated in the 1986 World Cup with Uruguay. There he came in the second round against Argentina used.
