1976 World Championships in Athletics

The World Athletics Championships 1976 in the Swedish city of Malmö consisted of a competition in the 50 - km walk for men. This discipline had not heard the same year the program of the Summer Olympic Games in Montreal. The competition was held on September 18, 1976 on a street track, with start and finish in Malmö Stadion. It was attended by 42 athletes from 20 countries participate.
