1979–80 Romanian Hockey League season

The 1979/80 season was the 50th season of the Romanian Hockey League, the highest Romanian Hockey League. Champion for the 18th time overall in club history CSA Steaua Bucharest.

Mode

In the main round each of the six teams completed a total of 35 games. The winner of the main round was champion. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
