1987 Oceania Club Championship
The OFC Champions Cup in 1987 was the first sending a oceanic Champions competition for club teams in football and was including a qualifying round from 6 to 15 March 1987, nine clubs from nine countries in the Hindmarsh Stadium in Adelaide Australia. The teams came from Australia, Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Palau, Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Vanuatu. Seven teams qualified by virtue of their positions in the national championship; Palau and Vanuatu were represented by national teams. The competition consisted of a qualifying round with seven teams, the winner took part in addition to the two selected representatives from Australia and New Zealand at the main competition. This consisted only of a semi-final and the final.
