1991 CONCACAF Women's Championship

The first CONCACAF Women's Championship was held in the period from April 16 to 28 in 1991 in Port-au -Prince (Haiti). The winner was the United States by a 5-0 victory over Canada. The crew of the United States remained during the whole tournament without conceding a goal, won two digits in four of five games and qualified for the FIFA Women's World Cup 1991 in the People's Republic of China.

Mode

The eight finalists were divided into two groups of four teams each. Within the groups played each team once against every other team. The group winners and runners reached the semi-finals. The semi-final winners reach the final while the semifinal losers play for third place.

Participant

There were no qualifiers. All eight teams entered the final tournament took direct part in Haiti.
