1995 Women's European Volleyball Championship
The European Women's Volleyball in 1995 took place from 23 September to 1 October in the Netherlands instead. The Games were held in Arnhem and Groningen. The hosts won the first west European team the title.
Mode
The twelve participants were divided into the first round in two groups of six. The group winners and runners reached the semi-finals. The Third and Fourth played to the ranks of five to eight.

Qualification
The Netherlands was set as host. The seven best teams in the European championship in 1993 were also automatically qualified. These were Russia as the defending champion, Czech Republic, the Second, the Third Ukraine, the Fourth Italy, Germany, the Fifth, the Sixth and Eighth Croatia Belarus.
Seventeen other teams played for four other places in the finals. In the first qualifying round Portugal and Slovakia clashed in return game. The Slovaks won on 30 October 1994 Esmoriz 3-0 and on 26 November in Bratislava 3-1. Together with fifteen other four groups of four teams, where each team home and away competing against the three opponents. The group winners to the final round.
