1996–97 Lithuanian Hockey League season

The 1996/97 season was the sixth season of the Lithuanian Hockey League, the highest Lithuanian Hockey League. Champion for the sixth time overall in club history, the SC Energia.

Mode

In the main round each of the four teams completed a total of 18 games. The winner of the main round met in the championship final to directly qualified for this SC Energia. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
