1996–97 Romanian Hockey League season

The 1996/97 season was the 67th season of the Romanian Hockey League, the highest Romanian Hockey League. Champion for the sixth time overall in the club's history of Miercurea Ciuc SC.

Mode

In the main round each of the six teams completed a total of 20 games. The winner of the main round was champion. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
