Mode
First, the teams at the Coupe des Pays Plats participated, which was crucial for the participation in the Eredivisie season. The top four teams in the Coupe des Pays Plats qualified for the main Eredivisie round, the other two participants in the Coupe des Pays Plats then had to compete in the Association Cup. The top three teams in the Eredivisie main round qualified for the final round, while the last placed the Eredivisie main round had to compete for a place in the finals against the winner of the Federation Cup. The two winners of Eredivisie - finals qualified for the championship final. For a win, each team received three points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
