1998 UEFA European Under-21 Championship

The 14 U -21 Football Championship was won by Spain. It was the second victory for the Iberians. Defending champion Italy failed to qualify. Germany finished fifth. The final round was held in the period from 23 to 31 May 1998 in Romania. The Spanish goalkeeper Francesc Arnau was awarded the Golden Player of the Tournament
