2001–02 NOFV-Oberliga

The 2001/02 season the Oberliga Nordost was the eleventh season of the Football Oberliga Nordost and the eighth as the fourth- highest league in Germany. The two winners of Season North and Südstaffel run two play-offs for the determination of the riser to the Regionalliga. The last three teams of two squadrons dismounted.

Season North

The second team of Hertha BSC qualified for the play-offs for promotion to the Regionalliga after it (except matchday 3 ) was almost the entire season over in the first place and had to play the season winning the Southern Season, Dynamo Dresden. Both the SC Greifswald and the BFC Dynamo went bankrupt and were thus relegated to the Association leagues firmly. All results against these two teams have been canceled.

After the season, the FSV Lok Altmark Stendal merged with the 1st FC Stendal 1 FC Lok Stendal.

Season South

Dynamo Dresden qualified for the play-offs for promotion to the Regionalliga and had to play against the winner of Season North - season, Hertha BSC amateurs. The FC Stahl Riesa had to file for bankruptcy after the season and was so firmly relegated. All results against this team have been canceled. The previous year's Movers SV Braunsbedra could keep the class nor the VfB Zittau. After the season, the FSV Hoyerswerda renamed it FC Lausitz Hoyerswerda.

Rise Games for Regional

The relegation matches between the winners of the North and the South Season denied the amateurs of Hertha BSC and Dynamo Dresden. Dresden was able to win 1-0 in the first leg on June 2, 2002 in Dresden. Therefore, the team handed the return match on June 9, 2002 in Berlin 0-0 to secure promotion to the Regionalliga.

Games against relegation

As it was not yet clear at the end of the season exactly which teams must descend from the Regional or which teams would receive a league license, games were conducted against relegation precaution. There were each table Fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth of the two squadrons, each in return game against each other in order to make a decision on odd relegated numbers can. The descent games stayed in hindsight irrelevant since opened after completion of the season against FC Stahl Riesa 98, Greifswald SC and the BFC Dynamo insolvency proceedings, which resulted in a demotion of these associations result.

The two table Fourteenth Season of the North (FC Eintracht Schwerin ) and the Südstaffel (Eintracht Sondershausen ) met each other in two games. Due to the away goals rule Eintracht Sondershausen emerged as the winner of the games. After the FC Stahl Riesa had 98 sign after the season insolvency and all matches against that club were canceled later, the table was recalculated and Eintracht Sondershausen was subsequently still Thirteenth.

Games of the table Fifteenth

The two table Fifteenth North Season (FV Motor Eberswalde ) and the Südstaffel (FC Stahl Riesa 98) should meet in two games. After the first leg went out on 2 June 2002 in Eberswalde 9:1 for steel Riesa, the FV Motor Eberswalde went to no longer return to the game, so this game was scored 2-0 for Riesa. Since the FC Stahl Riesa 98 end of the season but was forced to declare bankruptcy, the club was relegated anyway.

Games of the table Sixteenth

The two table Sixteenth Northern Season (optics Rathenow ) and the Südstaffel (VfB Chemnitz ) met each other in two games. Both teams lost their home game. The first leg on 2 June 2002 Rathenow ended with 1:2 and the return match on June 8 in Chemnitz 0:1. Due to the away goals rule VfB Chemnitz was the winner of the games. After recalculation of the table due to the insolvency of the FC Stahl Riesa 98 Chemnitz occupied at the end of the season to avoid relegation in 15th place
