2008–09 NOFV-Oberliga

The season 2008/09 Oberliga Nordost was the 18th season of the Football Oberliga Nordost and after the introduction of the 3rd Liga, the first and fifth highest league in Germany. The master of the North and the Südstaffel, Tennis Borussia Berlin and the ZFC Meuselwitz, rose directly to the Regionalliga. The actually provided two relegation places each season were increased to three relegation places, because both Energie Cottbus II and FC Sachsen Leipzig descended from the Regional.

Season North

After Tennis Borussia Berlin was on the first place for the third match, the club secured an early mastery and thus promotion to the Regionalliga. The BFC Preussen was from the beginning of the season in the relegation zone and thus had to descend into the Association league at the final of the season, as well as the Spandau SV, which occupied a relegation place since the 10 game day. The Torgelower SV Greif, who played the entire season in the lower table quarter could keep the class because the FSV Bentwisch announced end of the season its withdrawal from the league.

The ZFC Meuselwitz could be a game to end the season prematurely win the Championship and rose to the Regionalliga. The two newcomers FC Grün-Weiß Wolfen and 1.FC Magdeburg II could not compete in the league and rose again in the fifth division. Due to the number of Regional relegated to also ruled that the FC Eilenburg had to descend in the Saxon league.
