2008 Women's EuroFloorball Cup Finals

The Euro Floorball Cup 2008 ( by the Swiss organizers even called the European Cup in 2008 ) in floorball took place from October 8 to 12 in Winterthur in the Eulachhallen instead. Organizer of the tournament was the HC Rychenberg.

It was the first European Cup after re- conversion to the annual implementation and therefore, the second European Cup in the same year. Winner in the men's was AIK Innebandy and the ladies IKSU Innebandy, both from Sweden.

Qualification

Overall, 5 of the 8 teams qualified automatically for the European Cup, this is the one the four masters of the four strongest nations of the Euro Floorball Cup 2007/ 08 in the women's and men's and last year's European Cup winner.

The other three teams they had to qualify in three skill groups. The Group A countries from Western Europe ( held in Frederikshavn ) and in Group B countries from Eastern Europe ( held in Bratislava). In Group C, the runner-up of the four strongest nations compete for a starting position ( held in Helsinki).

Final

The final was held at 15:00 clock on 12 October 2008. There were 1600 spectators present in the Eulachhalle that was sold with it. Referee during the game were Jukka Paso and Anssi Silvo. The AIK Innebandy from Sweden won the match against SV Wiler - Ersigen from Switzerland, as in the group stage and thus became the third consecutive European Cup winner in the men's.

Final

The final was held at 12:00 clock on 12 October 2008. There were 292 spectators present in the Eulachhalle what little was disappointing compared to the semi-final with Swiss participation that attracted more than 900 spectators. Referee during the game were Thomas and Philippe Erhard Renz. The AIK Innebandy from Sweden won the game in extra time against the country's rival - after he nor 2:5 lost in the first round against Balrog IK.

3rd Place Match

The match for Bronze was held at 11 clock on 12 October. In a game in which the outcome has been decided was already 16 minutes into the UHC Dietlikon from Switzerland defeated the Czech team of Děkanka Tigers narrowly 2-1.
