2008 World Polo Championship

The VIII Polo World Cup was held May 3, 2008 in Mexico City on April 21. The World Polo Federation ( FIP) entrusted the spring of 2005 the Balvanera Polo and Country Club, which also houses the national equestrian center of Mexico, with the orientation. The team handicap was limited to 14

Qualifiers

To pay tribute to the growing popularity of the sport, the FIP expanded the number of participants significantly. Ahead of the world championship determined from February to May 2007 30 teams in four qualifying tournaments, the eight finalists.   • Europe: April 19 to 29, 2007 in Sotogrande, Spain
  • North and Central America: April 28-May 6, 2007 Tecamac, Mexico

In Group A, Canada, Chile, New Zealand and Spain played. Group B consisted of Brazil, England, Mexico and South Africa.
