Innovations
- The CSL is divided into three divisions: East, West and reserve. The reserve is also often referred to as CSL II.
- Five new teams take part in the League: Mississauga Eagles FC, Kitchener -Waterloo United FC, Ottawa, Pickering Power and the Windsor Stars.
- Trois- Rivières Attak does not return to the league.
