20th Century Boy

20th Century Boy is a song by the British glam rock group T. Rex from the year 1973. Was Marc Bolan, singer and frontman of T. Rex, composed, had ever composed almost all the songs of the group. The song reached # 3 on the British charts. In Germany the song reached position 8 and held a total of 13 weeks in the German Charts.Der song appeared on any of the regular albums of the group. The B-side is Free Angel. In 1991 the song was re- released as a single after it was heard in a Levi 's jeans TV commercial featuring Brad Pitt. The song reached number 13 on the British charts in 1991.

The Japanese manga series 20th Century Boys is named after the song. There are many cover versions of the song, including Buckethead, Def Leppard ( on the album Yeah! ), Naked Raygun, The King, Kiyoharu and Adam Ant The song also appears in the official sound track of the film Lords of Dogtown.
