( 2249 ) Yamamoto is one of the main asteroid belt, by the German astronomer Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth at Heidelberg State Observatory king chair ( IAU code 024) was discovered in Heidelberg on April 6, 1942.
The asteroid was named after the Japanese Issei Yamamoto astronomers - named, of (天文 同好 会, Tenmon Dōkōkai ) was the first President of the Astronomical Society and director of the Kwasan Observatory in Kyoto (1889, 1959).
