(22694) Tyndall

( 22694 ) Tyndall is one of the main asteroid belt, which by the Belgian astronomer Eric Walter Elst at the La Silla Observatory ( IAU code 809 ) of the European Southern Observatory in Chile was discovered on 26 August 1998.
The asteroid is named after the British physicist John Tyndall (1820-1893) named, who explored the movement of glaciers and named after him Tyndall effect discovered in his studies of light scattering.
