( 23774 ) Herbelliott is an asteroid of the main belt, which by Australian amateur astronomer John Broughton at Reedy Creek Observatory ( IAU code 428) in Queensland, Australia was discovered on 26 June 1998.

The asteroid is named after the Australian athletes ( middle-distance runner ) Herb Elliott ( born 1938 ) designated, 1500m set a world record at the Olympics in Rome.
