27th Panzer Division (Wehrmacht)

The 27th Panzer Division was an armored major unit of the Wehrmacht in World War II. With the formation of the armored division was started towards the end of 1942 in the southern sector of the Eastern Front, but they could never be completed because after the German defeat in the Battle of Stalingrad and the subsequent Soviet counter-offensive Operation Uranus the established troops in early 1943 in Soviet captivity went and then no more attempts were made to re-erection of the Army Division.
