Under the name " IMT -2000" (International Mobile Telecommunications -2000) ( 3G system ) were in the late 1980s, the requirements of ITU -R (Radio communication Sector of the International Telecommunications Union ) to a mobile system of the third generation combined. These requirements have been met by the three standards UMTS, CDMA2000 and UWC - 136. IMT -2000 evolved from the standard " Future Public Land Mobile Telecommunication System " ( FPLMTS ).
