79 Ceti b
79 Ceti b is an extrasolar planet orbiting the yellow subgiant 79 Ceti about every 76 days. Due to its high mass is assumed that it is a gas planet.
Discovery
As the majority of exoplanets was also discovered that using the radial velocity method. The planet was by Geoffrey Marcy et al. discovered in 2000.
Circulation and mass
The planet orbits its star at a distance of approximately 0.35 astronomical units and has a mass of at least 0.23 Jupiter masses.
