A Shipwreck in the Sand is the fourth studio album by the Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein. It is the first concept album by the band and was released on 31 March 2009 worldwide. The album belonging to history, as well as track list and cover of the album were released on 29 January 2009 on a specially created for the album website. On 17 March 2009, the band brought out a single release of the song " Vices ", to which they also took up a video.

Formation

After their European tour in May / June 2008 Silverstein began to write the new album. Between numerous festival appearances in the summer of the first notes of the album emerged. Shortly after her tour in North America in the autumn of the year, they began recording their album. The recording of the album was completed at the end of the year and the name and track list have been posted on a dedicated website. The first demo of the new album ( "Broken Stars" ) was released on MySpace and on the homepage Silverstein's already on 3 October. On 23 February 2009 Silverstein was on the release date and also announced tours in Europe and North America.
