The A. Murray MacKay Bridge is one of two toll suspension bridge, which connects the provincial capital of Nova Scotia Halifax Dartmouth. It is named after Alexander Murray MacKay, who was from 1951 to 1971 Chairman of the Halifax- Dartmouth Bridge Commission. The Commission was responsible for the establishment and still is for the entertainment of this and the Angus L. Macdonald Bridge southern responsible. The four-lane bridge is part of Highway 111
