Apex (Original Title: APEX ) is an American science fiction film with an apocalyptic scenario of director Phillip J. Roth from the year 1994.
Action
In the year 2073 travels a time probe with fighting robots and the scientist Nicholas Sinclair in 1973 to prevent the outbreak of a virus.
Background
Apex was shot in the places Fontana and Los Angeles, California, and Virginia City in Nevada.
In February 1994, Apex was presented at the Fanta Porto Film Festival in Portugal for the first time to the public. In the German-speaking area of the film was released on video and has already been shown on television.
Reception
The lexicon of the International film holds Apex for a "cheap made , confusing science fiction film by models such as Terminator copied shamelessly. " It judges Apex would have " little exciting visual effects " and was a " proper loose juxtaposition of time and levels of reality ".
Kino.de judges, however, that Apex lack of a " big budget " and the names of famous actors, " not just shiny, [ ... ] well but with superior optical effects, seemingly endless fire spells and a good dose of drama, which is supported by good performers " aufwarte.
