A.S.D. SanGiovanniValdarno

The Associazione Calcio Sangiovannese 1927 ( also briefly Sangiovannese only ) is a football club based in San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy.

History

The club was founded in 1927. The club colors are blue and the white. At the end of the thirties, the team reached the Series C. After the war break the club played in lower leagues to rise to 1958 in the D series. There, the club remained until 1971, when the team returned to the C series and remained there until 1982. After a few descents, the club returned in 2000 back to the fourth-rate Serie C2 and later in the third-class series C1, from which the 2008 team relegation. Since then, the club plays in Lega Pro Seconda Divisione fourth-rate.

Stadium

The club plays in the Stadio Virgilio Fedini in Piazza Palermo. It has seating for 3,800 spectators and was inaugurated in 1996. The main grandstand is covered and offers approximately 1000 spectators to be seated.
