The Autostrada A2 (Romanian for, highway A2 '), also Autostrada Soarelui (Romanian for' solar highway ') called, connects the capital Bucharest, Constanta and May 2 at the Black Sea.

Since April 2007 the entire 151.6 km long section of Bucharest - Cernavoda was passable. Length of the route will amount to 225 km. In April 2007, the 36.7 km long section Drajna - Feteşti was released. End of 2006, 116 km navigable, which concerned the two sections Bucharest Drajna and Feteşti - Cernavoda.

End of July 2011, the section was Medgidia - Constanta (14 km) released; he was up to July 2012, only one lane passable. On 19 July 2012, the last section of the A2 motorway between Cernavoda and Medgidia was also opened. The construction work off the roadways should continue in 2012 on the section Medgidia - Constanta or until January 2013 on the section between Cernavoda and Medgidia until the end of the second half.
