Aalborg University Hospital

The Aalborg University Hospital is a hospital in the region of North Jutland, Denmark. It is the largest employer in North Jutland with approximately 6,500 employees. The hospital has departments Afsnit Syd and Afsnit North in Aalborg and the hospital Dronninglund Sygehus. In addition, the Surgical Department A in Hobro, the ENT department and the Department of Ophthalmology in Hjørring, the clinical- chemical functions in Hobro and Farsø and the dialysis unit in Hjørring are a part of Aalborg University Hospital.

The Aalborg University Hospital has special duties for the part of the country and about 640,000 inhabitants, including parts of Central Jutland region, area functions for about 490,000 residents as well as duties as a hospital for primary care for approximately 250,000 inhabitants true.

As the largest hospital in the region has Aalborg University Hospital a central role in co-operating in North Jutland health care, but it distinguishes itself also at national level.
