AASI Jetcruzer

The AASI Jetcruzer 450 is an aircraft from the U.S. manufacturer AASI. It is a six -seat, single-engine business jet. As special features the design as ducks aircraft and the pusher propeller can be seen. The machine has no pressurized cabin. The landing gear is retractable.

The first flight took place on 11 January 1989. The machine was powered by an Allison 250 - C20S turboprop of 599 SHP. The machine has been approved by the FAA on June 14, 1994. A total of three prototypes were built. Mass production did not take place because AASI wanted to focus on the series production of the finished with a pressurized cabin AASI Jetcruzer P 500.

The Jetcruzer 450 was the first aircraft that has been classified by the FAA as coasting safely. This also developed by Butler Parachute Systems, Inc. parachute system was used.
