Advanced Aerodynamics and Structures Inc.

The Advanced Aerodynamics & Structures Inc. ( AASI ) was an American aircraft manufacturer that was founded in 1990 by Darius Sharifzadeh, Carl L. Chen and Roy Norris. First, the company worked in Burbank, California and then moved to Long Beach, where she worked 85 employees at this time in 1998.

The company developed, based on an idea by Chen, affordable business aircraft in aircraft design and duck tail engine, called Jetcruizer Series, featuring the aircraft AASI Jetcruzer 450 and 500 P. There were also plans for a small jet. Despite the long development time no series production could be started.

In 2002, took over the ailing company AASI Mooney. This group, now renamed Mooney Aerospace Group Ltd. ( MASG ), but decided to pursue the more conventional business jet line of Mooney. Then the construction and equipment for the Jetcruizer series in February 2004 were sold to Innova Aircraft. In May 2004 MASG sold the remaining shares to Allen Holding Finance. Despite all the company had to permanently discontinue its operation on 10 June 2004.
