ABC Futebol Clube

The ABC Futebol Clube, usually only briefly called ABC or ABC -RN, is a football club based in Natal, the capital of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte.

The association founded by the president of the local Chamber of Commerce on June 29, 1915 developed soon became the most successful club of the state. The now reached 50 state championships are also Brazilian record as the ten titles in series of 1932 until 1941. 'Main competitor spot is the América FC with so far 32 state titles. The club name ABC is a reference to the positive relationships between Argentina, Brazil and Chile.

ABC plays its home games at the Estádio Dr. João Cláudio Vasconcelos urban Machado, named Machadão from. Named after a President of the Federal Association football and sports journalists took stadium after the opening in 1972 of up to 52,000 spectators. Since the last renovation in 2007 the official capacity of 35,000 spectators.

Frasqueirao

In addition, the club owner is the Estádio Maria Lamas Farache, named after the wife of a former club president, called Frasqueirao. The stadium is to be extended capacity of about 16,000 to 24,000 spectators.
