Abdul-Karim Gharaybeh

Abd Al- Karim Gharaybeh (Arabic عبد الكريم غرايبة, DMG ʿ Abd -al- Karīm Ġarāyiba; * 1923 in Irbid, † February 22, 2014 ) was a Jordanian historian and writer. He was a member of the Jordanian Senate and served several times as president of the University of Jordan.

His Ph.D. Dissertation English traders in Syria 1744-1791, he enrolled at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (1950). He became the first Jordanian a doctorate in history.

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter A Common Word between Us and You (English A Common Word Between Us and You), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (English " Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... " ) submitted (13 October 2007).
