Abdulbaset Sieda

Abdulbaset Sieda (Arabic عبد الباسط سيدا 'Abd al - Basit Sida, born June 22, 1956 in amude, al-Hasakah Governorate ) is a Kurdish- Syrian scholars and was from June to November 2012 President of the Syrian National Council. The Sunni Muslim was in this office June 10, 2012 successor Burhan Ghalioun.

Sieda his doctorate at the University of Damascus. He published a large number of books on the Kurds in Syria. His scientific work specializes in ancient civilizations.
