Abdulhakim Arvasi

Abdülhakim Arvâsi (* 1865 in Van, † 1943 in Ankara) was a Sunni Islamic legal scholar ( Mudjtahid ) in the late period of the Ottoman Empire and the founding era Turkey.

He was a student of Seyyid Fehim Arvâsî and taught for 30 years in Van. When the Russian army occupied the eastern part of the Ottoman Empire, he moved to Istanbul. There he appeared in several madrasas and mosques. One of his most important students was Hüseyin Hilmi Işık.
