Abdulrazak Gurnah

Abdulrazak Gurnah (* 1948 in Zanzibar, Tanzania today ) is a Tanzanian writer who lives and works in the UK.

Life

From 1980 to 1982 taught at the Bayero University Gurnah Kano in Kano, Nigeria. He then went to the University of Kent, where he received his doctorate in 1982 and since that time teaches there in exile.
